This past Sunday we focused on men and reversing the curse.
The world is out of order. Men were created to bring order.
Malachi 4:6 He will restore the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers, so that I will not come and smite the land with a curse.
Malachi 3:10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.
Both of these curses are there because of our immaturity.
Maturity doesn’t come with age, it comes with acceptance of responsibility.
Both can be reversed by fathers taking responsibility and becoming good examples for our families to follow.
Let’s reverse the curse by maturing men.
Fatherlessness is an plague in our world today.
– 61% of homes in US are fatherless
– 63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes
– 80% of rapists come form fatherless homes
– 85% of teens behind prison bars grew up fatherless
What were the Superbowl commercials for Toyota directed at? Dads.
The world can see that things are askew.
It cannot be fixed without an eternal perspective.
You have to be changed in the heart and in the mind.
Read 2 Kings 6:1-6 The man is the head; he is accountable.
The Jordan represents a place of decision. Men are caught in a place of indecisiveness.
The head of the ax goes into the Jordan; men have been lost in indecision.
There is a code in the Spirit.
Exodus 8:10 Then he said, “Tomorrow.” So he said, “May it be according to your word, that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.
Fatherlessness is a plague. The answer is to take responsibility. Maturity does not come with age.
When would you like fatherlessness taken away?
How about now.
In what areas in your life do you need to take responsibility?
What does this kind of change look like?
